Founded by Peter Bell, whose career began as a truck driver and machinery operator, the company was established in response to a recognised gap in the market for specialised piloting services. Since then, The Pilot Company has grown into a team of skilled professionals, each bringing valuable experience in trucking, transportation, or machinery operation.  Peter remains actively involved on the road, contributing directly to operations and maintaining a fleet of ten vehicles.  This capability ensures the company can consistently deliver prompt, reliable, and expert service to meet the diverse needs of its clients.

 

Each pilot within our team holds current Class 1 and Class 2 Load Pilot certifications, as issued under New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) regulations, verifying their competency in the safe management and escort of overdimensional loads in accordance with national compliance standards.
